Achievement points in WLK

World of warcraft's second expansion, wrath of the lich king, will be including a new feature known as "Achievements". It's a system that awards you for accomplishing various tasks within the game by giving you points that'll be available in your armory profile.
But world of warcraft is willing to follow suit by having their own form of achievement at present. They won't being part of the infamous Micrsoft Xbox Live service but they're very similar. Actions like living through a very long free fall, killing instance bosses, obtaining a certain amount of gold, and other similar feats will give you a certain amount of
Silk Road Gold points that you can view both in game and show others on the armory. Much like the games on XBL you'll find that many of the points are just given to you for your dedication to the game. Hit level 10? Have some points. Hit level 20? Have some more.
But why should you join now? You know the expansion is going to quickly replace your epics, isn't it? Do you want to put in the time to raid before the expansion? Well, it all depends on your goals for the expansion. Do you want to raid in WotLK, and do you want to do it "hardcore"? Hardcore being 25-man raiding, that is. When WotLK drops, there will be two choices for every raid
WoW Power level group: the 10-man and the 25-man, and the 25-man will be tougher with better rewards. If that's your thing, and you're not in a "hardcore" raiding guild at the moment, it might be worth looking into.
